It would be about just as safe as a Smart car. Note my sarcasm if you haven’t already. Typically this blog will be dedicated to technology related posts, but after seeing this video on TV a couple days ago, it just doesn’t sit well with me.
If you hadn’t heard, the president announced this week that he’s moving the date up four years which requires automakers to meet a 35 miles-per-gallon standard.
Believe me, I am all about being green and raising our kids to understand the impact of our actions and worldly processes on the environment that God so graciously has blessed us with – but these smart cars definitely come with a cost. And while they may in fact be more efficient, that benefit comes with a deadly cost: safety.
Take a look at what happens during a collision with a Smart Car and a Mercedes C300 – I’ll let you be the judge if you would put yourself or your family in that turbo charged golf cart on wheels? I know my answer.
